Hi all,
I am new to boarding, have been skiing for years. I am looking for a good, durable board that will perform well on both groomed runs and powder. My budget for the board is up to about 400$. I need something that is going to last, and I need something that is going to work in the backcountry, lots and lots of powder. I just got offered an amazing job at an awesome mountain in Japan and I've decided to do the boarding thing instead of the usual skiing. The mountain is constantly engulfed in deep powder, there are almost no groomed runs because it just keeps snowing all the time. I'm 5'7, about 180lbs, shoe size is 10. I'm more into hard carving and going fast, but I would like to still be able to do some jumps and other crazy stuff every once in a while. I don't want a race board, but a good freeriding board would probably work well. i should mention sometimes i need to put on about 30lbs for judo competitions; how will this affect the board i'm riding? What is a good board that fits the bill? Looking for specific board & size recommendations if possible.. Thanks! Cory Last edited by paradoxbox; 11-03-2007 at 05:27 AM. |
