Should I get it now? - Snowboarding Forum

Im looking at a Never summer titan to add to my quiver of boards for next season. The only ones I can find however are 169 and 161. I am 6ft5" and 190 lbs.

My quiver for next season:
164 Santa Cruz Wide Pan Head (screw around/rock board)
163 Never Summer Legacy-R (For pow booters and not so gnar)
? Never Summer Titan (For pinning it, which is what I do anyway 90% of the time anyway)

I figure that if I keep my legacy-R ill still have a really good board to ride that is more mellow so I can go kinda crazy with the titan.

Would I be absolutely insane if I bought a 169? Is there some new tech going into the Titan for next season and I should just wait? Is there going to be snow next year in the PNW?

If you decide not to get it, I will.

Of course you should buy it! I'd probably take the 161, but I'm about 10 pounds lighter. But the 169 would make an epic powder board. I'm jealous.

Ok sweet yeah haha ive been on the edge for about a month now im just dissapointed I dident get it before the resorts closed. Thoughts on the 169 on like crappy days? I found a 165 TX but id rather go for the regular because my boots are only 11.5

Also should I just go all out and buy some Rome Arsenals (or whatever stiff binding you suggest (im not just talking to you flik (wow triple sidecomment thingys))) or would a pair of rome targas with the stiff inserts work well for both the legacy-r and titan? (just switch between)

Oh my god that would be the gnarliest thing ever. Thats sick though. Would I need to get some super stiff boots too or could I just use my old ones?

I use Arsenals and they are phenomenal. I don't think have a board THAT much bigger is going to make any difference. I ride a 165 and I'm 10 pounds lighter. You'd be fine. That's a sick board so you should definitely get it.
