Default Lib Tech banana question

Hi, I've just recently bought a Lib tech banana 2009 model and was wondering if the edges come factory de-tuned? As I got it on ebay, I'm not quite sure if it has been ridden or not. The edges seem to be fine but I'm just sceptical as the nose and tail ends were completely shaved of the edges.

I thought libtech boards were without a nose and tail non-effective edge?.

Yeah the edges are detuned. Really the only way to tune/sharpen then is too file the shit out of them as no current conventional sharpening machine will effectively work on magnetraction......but why would want to do that anyways if you bought a banana board?

lib's don't factory de-tune, they suggest that you de-tune, to limit catch on rails. with no effect to edge hold due to the mag.
