A friend of mine offer me to sell his never used(!) 2008-2009 Custom X for a merly 300$.
It's a 160cm board and just what i'm looking for in performance. The one problem is that i ride forum Kickers size 12. I'm wondering if the toe drag won't be too much of a problem since the boards width is 25 cm. What do you guys think? Does the kicker have a smaller imprint, so that it should be possible, or am I screwed? Ps: I ride -12 15, I'm 1.87m and weigh 85 kg |

any boot over 10.5 demands a wide board. I would not do it even though that's a great board and deal.

its way too skinny for your boots, they make wide boards for a reason and one of the dumbest things people do is try to assume some stupid stance that doesn't work for them in order to ride a more narrow board. sure you'll get a good deal but the toe drag will be ruining your day anyway.

50% reduction I have to agree it's a nice sale, but if I order it from that site I'll be up to my neck in VAT's at the border ![]() Had an idea! I've got some relatives living in the US. If I send the package to them (Burton won't retail outside the US -_-) and make them send the package to me through DHL as a gift, that ought to make it a tax free package right? no it won't work, when dhl ships it they will ask for a value for insurance, and there will be limits on the value of gifts, so you will get hit with the taxes. not too mention it will cost about 150 us to ship it anyway.

Ok, so I decided to see what it would give to put my boot on the 160, since getting the 159W was a really big hassle...
Once mounted on i had an overhang of +- 3.5 cm on the back and +- .85 cm on the front... This seemed quite acceptable to me, what do you guys think? The problem now is that I can only get my hands on the cartel est's 07-08 whilest I don't really find them a good match colorwise... Should i wait 'till next seasons are out, or just go with it? |
