How to Store Your Stick

Always wondered about this. Any truth that you shouldn't store your board lying down because it might lessen the camber? Spring is here and my Unity Pride 155 is going to sleep until winter. Thanks.

Throw a nice coat of wax on it and dont scrape it...

I fail to see how lying down your board lessens the camber, if your worried about it lay it on its side.

I store my board with rolled up winter blankets underneath to maintain the camber. Sometimes I get even more camber...never catch an edge this way and its better than the manufacturers. I also pack bookends at the tip and tail connected together with ratcheting straps and vise grips for homemade rocker.

I also do all of that and hook it up to a revolving orbiter such that it the molecules stay in constant motion as to not lessen the forces between the tip and the tail as well as increasing the absorbency of the base tenfold. Its way better than the manufacturers suggestion of only waxing.

Oh and ive never caught an edge either

This thread title is misleading...

Government - If you think the problems they created are bad, just wait until you see their solutions.

Oh, I didn't even notice the title.

Ok for storing my stick, if I'm wearing boxer briefs, I'll store it snug to the left.

If I'm going cotton boxers, I kind of let it hang where it wants.

Commando: I make sure to store it with a button fly cuz a zipper might damage my stick especially when I have positive camber.

And I make sure to wax it every chance I get when it's not being ridden.
