anyone know the usual time of yr that burton comes out with new bindings and are up for sale?

Usually after they've completed testing and development. Then inventory has to be manufactured and shipped if made outside of the U.S. prior to distribution to retailers. If I were to hazard a guess...hmmm, I would definitely say some time before the season starts.

I'd just get a pair of this year's bindings. I mean as long as they attach you to your board, they're comfy, and they're adjustable and light you should be fine.

yea igot no prob with getting last yrs models but the thing is that i bought a burton x8 and the triads that go with the board arent est's

If you recently picked up the bindings and haven't used them, try exchanging/returning it to the store. Not to be a total douche, why would you not check the compatibility of the board/bindings prior to buying?

no i havent bought any bindings. i just bought the board since i loved the graphics, reviews and the $200 bucks i saved on it. i new that the triads werent est's, so im just hoping that next yrs models will have that set up. if not then ill just settle for 09's

they come out the same time every year, big markets (so cal, new york) will have it in shops in august and a month or two later for everywher else

i believe that you can ride a standard burton binding on an EST board, but you can't ride an EST binding on a standard 3-hole board. Email burton to double-check this, and ask them for a new baseplate to fit the EST

I think the same time of year that any new gear comes out. (If you have special shop connections you can probably get a pair earlier or reserve one).
