Sup guys,,
finally got myself my second board the k2 www. Now I am faced with the question of do I need to detune it for park sessions?:dunno:
I have heard of snowboards being rail ready being already detuned,, and being new to maintenance (ie. waxing and edge tuning/detuning) have no idea if work is needed:thumbsdown:

thanks in advance.:)

k2 www good match up bindings?

Eyy sorry for changing the topic.. i figure its better to ask here than to start another thread..
anyways,,
I need a lightweight binding mainly for jibs and medium sized kickers? I'm new to jibbing however still love throwing rotations off the kickers..
so any advice on what I would need for my perfect binding? I was thinking of going with a Union Contact or the Rome 390's..
really lost and want to make sure i get it right binding as light as it can be for what I want..:dunno:

Hmmm I never thought my k2 www was detuned when I got it. The edges felt very sharp so I detuned the nose and tail a ton, in between the bindings some, and just a tad of the contact points to keep it from being to grabby. I also have Rome 390s on mine. They're really comfortable and have a nice flex and lots of adjustments. My only gripe about them would be the weight.

Ohh true true,, maybe I should just round off the edges to make sure?
learning jibbing I know off the bat that i'm going to take tons of falls soo making sure that edges arnt catching on a box or rail is important for myself,, I should probably go with detuning it somewhat?
ill post a pic soon times off the board once my camera battery charger is found:eek::mad:

EDIT: picture wont do good nvm,, and it will take way to long to get the camera issue sorted out..
I can already feel that the edges are too sharp..
soo when i go to detune I want to take a bunch off the nose and tail right?!
and once thats done only a little between the bindings?
Thanks for helping me out,, I dont want to make this board go to ruin

Well the nose and tail area you dont use for turning at all, so you can detune that a lot. In between the bindings is used for turning, but not primarily and since I ride pipe sometimes too I opted not to do that as much as the tip and tail. You could do the middle a lot if you wanted to. The contact points I just gave a few passes with the stone to take just a little bit of the bite away.
