Ashbury Goggles

They're really good looking and seem like they would fit under my helmet well. I even like alll the riders on the team. Are they good googgles? I see them for like $50 now too

Are they new? I've never heard of them and too lazy to google. Do you have a link?

BurtonAvenger 06-07-2009 10:19 PM

Stamped lenses with sprayed on coatings nothing special.

Ashbury Eyewear - Goggles

They're pretty popular, atleast here in Oregon

They look nice, but for $50, why not pick up something tired and true like VZ Feenoms? I got a pair from Sierra for $42 shipped (not too sure if they have any left at this price, though).

Yeah I picked some of those up at TightBoards.com

I think they are popular because they work well. Nice anti-fog and good design.

BurtonAvenger 06-08-2009 11:07 AM

They're popular because all the scenesters in snowboarding wear them. They don't offer anything special. They're where Oakley and Smith were 10 years ago. Flat stamped lenses are optical crap!

goggles are goggles within a given price range. optics don't really matter all that much and to what degree is it marketing? if you're lucky your vision is obscurred by snow anyway. they are the new hot thang though, thats for sure. if you like them and they fit your face i'm sure they will work out for you. you don't need 200 Joakleys to enjoy your day snowboarding. 200 goggles won't increase your fun level or make you a better rider.

Do they fit your face?
