first off what type of riding do you do? how much do you weigh? also you never want to buy boots online unless you try them on at a local shop first and know what size will fit your foot. companys sizes run different sometimes so what may fit with one brand may not with another.

Boots need to be tried on in person. Support your local shop. As cro said, what type of riding do you do? It's seems like you're a burton fan, look into other companies as well.

burton gear is just what i know...so i like to stick with there gear it seems to be excellent quality, although i did find a Capita board i was interested in but im nervous about taking a chance on a different company i dont know much about, give me some suggestions....im looking for a all around board, i do it all..parks, glades, steeps...

Im in upstate Ny so i ride Whiteface, Gore, Killington, Jay Peak, Stowe...etc. i also do some off resort...hiking

looking to spend about $500 on a package, seems like i can get some decent quality for that amt on the-house.com

Honestly Burton gear isn't the best gear out there. There are a lot more companies who will give you a better bang for your buck.

Capita is great gear. I love their boards.
Rossi isn't the best gear available, but from my experience you can beat the shit out of it and it'll keep going.
