Red face need help on first board purchase!

hi,

its time for me to buy my first set up but i am completly overwhelmed by the huge choice of makes and equipment to choose from. i have read the whole thread on advice of how to buy a set up but am sticking on board choice. i am 5ft7, weigh approx 13 and half stone, and take size 10.5 snowboard boot, i am a beginner/intermeadite rider and will mostly be riding the groomed stuff but might start having a play on some jumps/rails and powder!

i'm thinkin burton moto boots, or burton hail's, with custom bindings but am stuck on a board! obv i will most likely need a wide board coz of my hobit feet.

any help/advice will be much appreciated!!

Both the Moto and the Hails are more freestyle boots i am pretty sure, they are pretty soft boots. You may want to get something slightly stiffer to get all the control you can...

Oh and your feet arent that big for your size you definately wont need a wide board...i translated your UK stone crap to be 180lbs...in which case your looking at a 156-159ish size board. Assuming your 10.5UK size boots your probably 11 US Size..which still puts you under the need for a real wideboard...
