Noob needing a new board, lol! - Snowboarding Forum

Well i just stumbled across this sight and think its great. This will be my 2nd year boarding and im addicted, cant get enough. Well this last season my cheapo beginner board gave out and i need to start shopping for a board. Ive gotten mildy decent, ive started hitting some jumps, the little boxes, and i love the half pipe! No super crazy tricks yet but i want to learn them. So what are your opinions on a board for the pipe, rails, jumps, and i do like going through the trees on fresh powder. I am 5'11", 160lbs, and have a budget of $350 without binding which i will post on later and want this board to last a few years. Thanks for all the advice i will hopefully recieve!

The Burton Dominant is really good for terrain parks, but its not so good with powder and the 07 model is $380. I'm not sure what the price is for last years though.

The new Burton air is $400 and its really good in terrain parks and powder so if you just spend an extra 50 bucks you can get that.

Forum has some nice boards for powder.and at a reasonable price

to look for a freeride board/ all mountain
it is tough if u r in the park a lot, because your board will get eaten up if u have the wrong base

The Dominant isn't going to be the best in the powder, but it will still do you proud up there. its phenom in the park, and you can find an older, new one for around 300 bucks.
