I'm planning on buying Lib-Tech's Skate Banana within the next two weeks.
I like to just cruise around and ride pow, but when I was reading reviews on my current board (it was a gift so i didnt get to choose it) i saw that a lot of people felt that it had bad edge hold. I'm buying a skate banana in hopes of expanding to jibs and park. Is there anything different between the 2010 model and the 2009 model? The real question is, should I get the 152 or the 156. 5'10" 150# but im planning to lose some weight. I was thinking the 156 cause if I never got into parks and jibs than I could still cruise and ride pow and do what I'm doing. Thanks for all of your help. I have the 156 and its a really fun board to rip around on
i rode the 08/09 152 last year aswell and its a fun board to ride around on too. But i thought it was a bit more noodeish then the 156 was plus if your gonna ride pow the extra length is a plus+

Also, Im going to go out on a limb here and go against everyone else. If I were in your position I would take the 152. The only reason I am saying that is because I am around the same size as you; 5'11" 160lbs. From my own personal experience I find that shorter boards are far easier to spin with than longer ones... I'm sure this should come as no surprise to any rider. Thats why I rock a 151 for booters. On the other hand, my jib board is a 156 because I prefer the added length when trying to achieve those impressive presses. Just my opinion. |

I have the 152 and loved that board. Powder to park I had no issues at all. You can get chatter at high speeds but eventually you get used to it. Going to a 156 isn't going to help the speed chatter much.
I'd say go 152. It's one of those boards you can get away with going shorter on. In the long run you'll have more fun with the shorter board. Also keep in mind the 156 is not as soft as the 152. And you're 150 at 5'10" looking to lose weight? Who's your role model, Lindsey Lohan? Christ dude go eat a fucking burger and some fries. I know heroin addicts that weigh more than you.

...Sorry, but by i opinions i didn't mean on my weight.
I've had physicals for the past four years and all is normal. So can we drop my weight? Haha. Have you ever thought that maybe you all were just typical FAT AMERICANS? haha just kidding. But really, my weight isn't an issue. Need me to scan a doctor's note? rofl But as for the board. Yeah 156 |
