Default Hopefull new boarder with questions.

Hey all, hoping to start snow boarding this winter as I have fallen in love with longboarding this past summer. I am entirely uncertain, however, as to what size I need and what type of board I need. I have fairly decent balance because of all the longboarding and I am 6 foot, 134 pounds. Can you guys make some suggestions? Also, is it wise to pick up a used board or do they tend to get more trounced than it would be worth? I hope to get onto an Arbor as I am a greeny.

Rent first...I found having snowboard skills does NOT help at all with longboarding and vice versa. Alot of the movement would be difficult to transfer from one sport to another...
