All mountain freestyle fun for jolly green giant

Hey all,

Im shopping around for a new board for the season. Im one of those gigantor types, 6'5" 190 size 13 clod hoppers. Ive narrowed it down to a few boards:

NeverSummer Revolver-R
Nitro Misfit (Wide)
Capita Blackdeath Inc (Wide)

Im looking for something playful for riding groomers AND hitting the pipe/park. Ive been reading reviews about the revolver and blackdeath but havent found many on the misfit. I currently have a legacy-r 164 for my pow board but its just too big to really have fun with on the regular groomer days, but I love slayin the pow with it. Really into the vario grip and the rocker/camber neversummer has, so im leaning towards the revolver but just wanted some other opinions. Im planning on moving to a mountain town this winter so I will be spending a majority of time on this board...

Thanks ahead of time.

-A

I'm in an almost identical position. I was gonna get the Bataleon Omni 2010 but went with a Bataleon "The Jam" 2009 model, saved about $150. If I were you I would either do the NS like your thinking or a Bataleon Goliath or omni 2010. I got a 161 wide and my shape is just like yours.

^^^ Agreed.

The Capita Black Death interests me..But not for what you desire. From what I understand it's a cross of the Photo Fetish and Black Death Speed Tribe boards. It's a bomber board. Haven't rode it to say for sure though!

I have a 08/09 161 Bataleon Jam also and think I will be selling it soon. Dont get me wrong, its a fun board, but Im not completely sold on the TBT. I also think its a bit too stiff for what I want out of my everyday board. GAH! decisions, decisions...

what do you ride now milo303?

Any of those boards are good. I have the Capita Black Death Inc. and I absolutely love it. Super tough and light. About a 7/10 on stiffness. Its my go-to board for the resort.

i have no regrets buying my 159 revolver (regular camber), fun but def not a noodle, very durable, great for the pipe/kickers, decent float in shallow pow < 1ft

i came down from a directional 164 also, i wanted something playful & twin for hard pack & freestyle stuff, and i'm 185 6"3' sz 13

just got some new boots w/ shrinkage, im back to a sz 12 :-)
