I recently bought a board for my brother for his birthday as a surprise gift. I bought the salomon surface 156 and just wanted to get opinions on this board. He has only snowboarded maybe like three times, but he is already pretty good at it. He rarely falls and has great balance and definitely wants to get out there as much as he can this winter. This board was recommended to me at a large retail store and i just wanted to make sure it was a good one for him. He doesn't really do any tricks but would like to learn/practice some. Is this board good for all around performace? thanks for the feedback!

At his level, it honestly doesn't matter much what board he's on. As long as he's between 110lbs and 210lbs, he'll be fine on it. Though it'll be best if hes somewhere around 160lbs... At 130lbs I taught myself park on a 155 directional... Now I'm 140 and ride a 150 twin for park.
