good bindings besides 390s

I'm hearing all this hype on 390's but what are some other good bindings this year? do bindings make that big of a difference?

Union Contacts, The Angry Snowboarder loves K2 Formulas, I've never ridden Ride bindings, but the Contraband line looks sick.

By the way. 390's are the bomb! Really they are. Only gripe is that they're heavyish.

Rome 390's really ARE everything that they are made out to be. They are awesome. Second to them. Just like everyone else has said Union. Those are the two best binding companies out there. Union also has a lifetime warrenty on their baseplates so if that is something that might perk your interest. Go Union.
