How do i fix my high backs

Hey i got rome 390's from 08 and i was adjusting the highback but i couldnt get it to go back in. I want to do the other one but the screws keep getting messed up and now the whole angle is off. Any suggestions?

Adjusting the highback as in rotating it? If so, it's just a matter of patience and a little brute force to get the bolt back in. However, pics would help.

If it's the T-nuts, they have a square shank so they need to be lined up to go in the hole.
