Default Binding Question (replaceable part)

I have a pair of 2008 Ride Betas. Ride Beta Movement Snowboard Binding 2008 : Snowboard Bindings | evo outletThe blue ones.

And I like em overall but I hate the toe strap ratchet system, it's not so bad on the ankle, but the toe straps are terrible IMO. Would it be possible to replace the whole toe strap, or just the ratchet with maybe the newer beta? I'd rather just replace the ratchet so it doesn't look goofy with two different color straps but whatever works ill do.

ride bindings are notorious for problems with the straps and hardware. I would honestly just recommend getting yourself into a new pair of bindings. Although, if you are dead set on getting a new ratchet, it isn't hard to do on ride bindings because instead of doing what a lot of companies do and rivet their ratchets on, ride uses a screw that you can just take off. From there, you just need to find a rachet that will accomodate your ladder strap and fit correctly on your toe strap.

Hope this helps.

From what I've read, Ride is now using a completely different ratchet then they used to. Might just try finding the new school ratchet system and replace them all...

I just took a look at my Ride NRC's from the 2008/2009 season and the ratchet is completely different.... I'm sure you can find a replacement, and it would be nice if you posted where you found em for cheapest.

Yeah, the strap doesn't bother me at all, its the ratchet system. It sucks to undo the toe strap sometimes because of how it's laid out. Strapping in is fine, but getting out can be a pain sometimes, if I'm not wearing gloves it sucks waaay more too.
