New Custom V-Rocker, bindings now?

Just picked up my new Burton Custom V-Rocker today (yeah the next few months will go by way faster now... )

Anyways, I'm going to get new bindings before the season, as my last board was a ride with salomon's.

It seems the Burton site recommends the Cartel EST with my board, what do you guys think? I know theres got to be plenty of people out there running them? Like them?

Thanks for your input.

Dave

Of course Burton is going to say you should run the bindings they produce ( =

However the Cartels are a respected binding and I personally hear little complaints about them....

cartels have a lot of forward lean. their toe straps (07 and 08) also didnt fit my boots properly (08 ions) and kept coming off. traded mine in for forces, and i think i will be sticking with union for a very long time.

I Like the channel and EST. Since you have it, utilize it.

Cartels are also my recomendation. Mine were awesome (05/06's though). To be honest though, If you wanna save $60, I'd go for Missions.

Snowboarding Is...

That thing I do to escape the world and have fun with my friends

I recently went from Cartels to Triads because I wanted a little bit more comfort. The forward lean that people talk a lot about has been dialed back a bit, as long as you get 2009 or 2010 model cartels, the 08 ones (The ones I had) are the ones with crazy forward lean.

This must be a common setup cuz I saw a slew of them at EVERY sale this weekend. Powderdaze, Ski Rex and Sniagrab...New ones to demo'd ones.

It's the custom what do you expect it has a name that's synonymous with being a quiver killer board. Haven't ridden the new V rocker version yet but we'll see. I hate the channel system though that thing sucks ass in my opinion. I'll also agree Cartels are over rated.

Because someone has to call it how they see it!

Yeah, I was being sarcastic and didn't want to straight up say it's a mall store board/binding combo about as original as an iPhone! I think the whole company is over-rated. I want my money back on my Burton 420 kit but I don't know if they'll take it back!!! hehe
