If I remember right the Ultrafear is the StairExtreme with FK.
The Parkstar is Darkstar with Jib rocker. I think the Parkstar is a better board, and there is a much better chance you'll be able to get one of them than an Ultrafear.

i guess it all Depends on your choice, i dont think u can go wrong with either board, i was in your situation, until
i order ultrafear , my final decision of choosing ultrafear instead of parkstar was knowing that if i didnt like ultrafear, for some reason which i doubt, i can get parkstar later and sell the ultrafear, but i know ultra fk being limited i wont or be hard to get hands on these later in the season. good luck choosing

well i mean i know where i can get either board so thats not a problem.
im afraid that like the ultrafear wont be playful enough. like not enough flex and what not. im basically looking for a really playful board kinda like the weapon, but that still holds up on kickers and trails and stuff. i dunno is the ultrafear too stiff? hows the stiffness on both boards |

If i was you and was only looking between those two board i would go with the parkstar. I have ridden both boards and felt that the parkstar was a bit more playful with jibs and what not. They are both great boards and i don't think that you would be disapointed with either choice. Another board you might want to look into would be something like that GNU street series or even the k2 slayblade. They are both plenty playful and will handle jumps and what ever else you want to throw at it.

^^^ were your riding broken boards? Neither the Street nor the Slayblade are 'playful'. The Slayblade is a straight up freeride board. It replaced the Zepplin, which was a freeride board. And even though the Street is the 'jib' board of the Gnu line, Its more around the stiffness of a Jibpan, but with less pop.
If you want play with jump capability maybe the Horrorscope. Of those two though probably the Parkstar. The UF is probably a hair stiffer than the Parkstar.

alright i see.
and yeah... slayblade? dude i was talking about a playful park board lol. yeah i was thinking the horrorscope but i dunno for some reason i just wasnt liking it. i was riding a burton dom that wasnt as soft and playful as i would have liked, it just took a beating like a champ. on a soft and playful scale, how would the parkstar be from 1 to 10. like 1 being a wet noodle and 10 being like a stiff race type thing. |

alex u cant really ask that kinda question, those are personal opinions
it can be 10 nood to nivek but to you it can be 1 stiffer, and all depends on that person, and how it feels to them, and another if someone is lets say 5"10 weight 140 on a board thats really stiff isnt gonna be to a guy lets say 5"10 200+lb more leverage get what im saying? neways im pretty sure, what type of boarder you are, just go look around and see how other ppl who rode the boards, compare with diff type of board lets say since you ridden burton dom, find out how others might compare to that, cuz straight random answers from just asking how is this and how is that, is just useless info to you, cuz everyone is diff and thinks diff. hope this might help. and to comment on gnu and slay, those are i say diff type of boards then what alex is looking fore |
