Default Rossignol xv Magtek VS Slash Straight

Has anyone ridden both? I was about to buy the slash straight for powder and groomers, but then came across the Rossignol xv.

I demoed the straight and like the easy turn initiation and thought it had good edge hold. But even though I don't really trust the good ride, the Rossignol seems like a very similar board with better edge hold and a lot of magnatraction. Which should make it better for morning groomers.

Any opinions?

I'm curious to hear about this board as well. Thinking about an XV or Krypto since I've been reading good things and they're so cheap locally right now. Any input is appreciated.

Not similar in build at all. The Straight had a slightly longer pointy nose and blunt tail and 20mm setback. The nose is also slightly softer than the tail. The Xav is tapered, more setback, and has a stiffer tail than nose.

The Straight is an awesone all mountain deck wrapped in a freeride shape. The Xav is a film blown purpose built freeride deck.

Just ordered the 163 XV. For $299 and free shipping, I couldn't pass it up, and it seems like it will be great for what I want.
