i just bought some bindings and one of the rachets is loose. like it will tight and unbuckle, but it flops around and won't lock into place. any advice?

Shit happens it still works keep rocking it. Or if you're so inclined look at the spring and see if the end has just slipped out of the groove that used to hold it in and put it back in place with pliers and you're good. Every binding I've ever owned this has happened to I just deal with it.

hope the springs themselves haven't sheared like they kept doing with my raidens

i think i piece of the spring might have been torn or something. either way i can still strap in no problemo, its just the clicking sound of the ratchet that's annoying.
