beginners board & bindings

hi, i'm 5'9 and 175lbs and i've been wearing US10.5 boots

i'm a beginner and have decided to invest in board and bindings for the coming season

i will just be concentrating on freeriding for the coming season and probably some park riding as i get better maybe.. not sure just yet

could you give me some recommendations on choosing a board and bindings as well as sizes

ideally i want to keep the cost to minimum but if its worth spending i'm willing to spend

Have you ever been snowboarding? If not, you might want to rent a couple times first before you spend the money on gear and later decide you don't like the sport.

Otherwise, I agree with everything Snowolf said.

suggestion for board width

With 10.5 inch boots you may also want to consider a mid-wide board to help eliminate toe and heel drag.
