Hi guys,
I'm going to be getting a file guide to bevel my base edge. I was hoping somebody would have some insight on which to buy. I've narrowed it down to these two. SKS Vario Adjustable All Angle Base Bevel File Guide ARTECHSKI.com - Tuning Equipment - Base Bevelers - Swix Base Bevelers Cheers, Chad |

Thanks for the reply LI, but I've actually looked at that tool and decided against it. I've read enough bad reviews on it that I just don't think I want to risk the money. (e.g. Question for Tognar Skivisions Skisharp fans - EpicSki Community)

From my own experience, get whatever tool has the best surface for sliding along the base, I have a cheap edging tool and the handle has a couple of ribbed surfaces along the guide and if I'm not careful they actually leave an imprint in my base after a few strokes.
