Base File Guide: SKS Vario vs Swix - Snowboarding Forum

Hi guys,

I'm going to be getting a file guide to bevel my base edge. I was hoping somebody would have some insight on which to buy. I've narrowed it down to these two.

Thanks for the reply LI, but I've actually looked at that tool and decided against it. I've read enough bad reviews on it that I just don't think I want to risk the money. (e.g. Question for Tognar Skivisions Skisharp fans - EpicSki Community)

From my own experience, get whatever tool has the best surface for sliding along the base, I have a cheap edging tool and the handle has a couple of ribbed surfaces along the guide and if I'm not careful they actually leave an imprint in my base after a few strokes.
