I have yet to checkout the 2010 models in person, but from pics I've seen, looks like it's just new colorways. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I didn't see anything new.

The ankle strap has been softened up by way of a new c-flex insert, and the ladder sheaths that everyone seemed to hate are gone. The pics on Rome's website aren't completely accurate.

The toe cap is also a little different which is due to the removal of the "pocket".

Never too sure why people hated the "pockets". I've never had a problem with them and they kept the ladders tucked away nicely

Those pockets aren't in the way only if you adjust the straps to a certain length and with the C Flex pad. If you remove the pad and move the straps in a bit, the pockets will get in the way.

here an email from rome about this

Hey Eric,
The 2010 Targa has a new ankle strap and new in-base padding. The new strap
is a blend of last year's PF adjust with c-flex insert and the PF Contour
ankle strap that you find on the 390's. This gives you a wider range of soft
to firm depending on what you like and/or the conditions your riding. The
new in-base pad is just a 1pc. heel pad/disk cover. To make the ratchets run
smoother there were some buckle and ladder strap improvements as well.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks man!
Cheers,
Andy
