binding/board tech question with a picture

okay, so i got some new boots in the other day and decided to setup my bindings accordingly (my new boots are a size smaller than my old ones so i had to adjust my ladders and straps)
there are two cap strap ladder settings on my burton customs and since my boots are smaller i decided to put them o the smaller size. after i did this, i put them on my board but noticed there is a bit of the ladder sticking out

could this possibly fuck up my board? it doesnt feel right when i screw the bindings in and i dont want to fuck up my almost brand new board. should i move the ladder back up and deal with the strap not fitting as tight around my toes?
any input would help!

flip the binding upside down. if you pull on the capstrap it should seat properly, but also there should be two places for it to seat.

yeah there are two options, but the first option leaves my boot loose against my high back and i have it cranked to the last click. thats the reason why i put it at option two but the problem is that where the ladder fits in, its not as deep as the first spot so it hangs out

put it in the first spot, and adjust the location of your cap strap on your ladder

also there should be two options for the ladder on the other side. try putting that back
