Default First snowboard: Yes Basic or LT Skate Banana?

Hey guys,

I've been snowboarding for a few months now and since theirs a lot of snowboarding gear on sale now I've decided that I want to buy my own snowboard. The Yes Basic (280) and Lib Tech Skate Banana (350) stood out for me. A friend told me they were suited for me, also because of the underbite/magnetraction. Now I'm asking you which one I should go with.

Things I'm gonna want to do with my snowboard:
- Lot of mountain riding, small jumps in the park
- Quick smooth turns
- Buttering
- Maybe some boxes
- I'll be riding once or twice a week (inside a snowcenter) and two or three weeks a year on a snowboarding holiday
- My level is somewhere between beginner and intermediate

I did a lot of research but I'm still not sure which one to go with. Hope somebody can help a fellow snowboarder out! Thanks in advance.

Absolutely no contest. Yes Basic. Better in every way.

And put the money you save into a pair of good fitting boots or solid bindings.

Yeah I will. I already got boots but gonna spend the money on bindings. Any recommendations?
I heard that Union bindings are very good

Picked up the basic last season. Highly recommend it!

Never rode a skate banana but from what I've heard there's better boards for the price.

Great to hear! What bindings do you use?

For bindings I'd ride either K2 Liens, Ride Revolts, or Flux DS.
