new bindings :O

Just out of curiosity, what is the term for the new tech burton uses for their binding inserts? they have those straight line inserts which i haven't tried yet, and also what companies provide bindings for those types of boards? Is that tech only with burton boards?
Ok so.. now onto my situation I've been riding with my burton missions for the past 3 years which aren't bad but I was looking for a replacement. I've been hearing that unions are great but i was wondering if unions would be compatible with my board which has 2x6 inserts per foot.
I've checked some companies over the internet but most don't give details on how they attach onto the boards which made me wonder if they were the "new tech" or not.

appreciate all the replies!

edit** any recommendations on other bindings?

It's called ASS tech on the burton boards. If your board has 2x4 inserts Union will work.

The burton ASS tech is not good at all. Just don't even bother using it. Just stick with the standard 2x4.
