Hey Snowboarders!
I already have all of my gear from last year except that this year I need to buy a new WARM snowboarding jacket since my old one is pretty torn up... I already own a thin shell jacket for warm days, but I would like a warmer one for those cold days too.

I've attached a picture showing what I have now (as far as color matching goes)...

My budget is up to $250...
Any brands are fine with me as long as they have decent waterproof/windproof ratings. :)

Thanks for any help you can give!

I bought a Marmot Tamarack shell. I have heavy, medium and light fleeces. Then I have merino base layers. Whatever the weather dictates, I wear. I personally hate having big bulky/heavy jackets when I ride. I do have a warm as hell Patagonia down jacket for town though.

Yea layering is where its at, you can more easily change it up depending on the conditions.

I usually just wear thermals + fleece + Mtn Hardware Goretex shell jacket...i only wear thermals + pants usually as the pants are built double layered...

Layering would be the best way to go by far .Start off with a waterproof shell (perferibly Gore-Tex)then a insulating
jacket with multi under layers .This will keep you warm and toasty even on the coldest days of riding .
The biggest plus is you will not feel like your wearing a big heavy bulky single jacket :)
As far as brands ,it's really up to your choice of style.
