So I just bought a new board...

So my plan heading into this year was to get a new board. Was most likely going to be the Never Summer Sl-R in a 161. RIght now I have an old Nitro shogun 163 and a Darkstar 158 and I was kind of getting in a mood to replace both. So I would want a playful, somewhat park oriented board in a 157 or 158 and then a stiff freeride deck in a 163-165.

Well I just saw an auction ending on a brand new Burton Hero 158 (edit: 2009) on ebay and I made the plunge. I got it for under $300 which was my limit. The next part of the plan will be to pick up something like a NS F1-R or Heritage in a much larger size.

Did I make a good decision?? It was a total impulse buy!

It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.

Enjoy!

Haha, I like it. Believe me, I almost wore the search out as the auction wound down. Only bid right at the end and was checking what everyone had to say, previous listings in the classified, BA's and Shay's reviews, etc. Now I get my hard charging freeride board, a rockered board I can use in the park and I can check out the ICS system like I have been wanting to.

Thanks for backing me up guys.

For under $300 you probably got a good deal. I dont know anything about burton boards but there is a Burton community forum you can search for info on them. There are not a lot of people that love burton on this forum so it may not be the best place to search. I just bought two new boards myself and I dont think you ever really know if you made a good purchase until you ride them a few times.
