Sidewall Question for BurtonAvenger

ON another thread you said about DC Boards...

If you pick up any of the decks look at the right sidewall and tip/tail spacer probably looks perfect, flip it over and look at the left and there's either a huge gap between the spacer and sidewall or the sidewall overlaps the spacer when it was pressed. Either way after the amount of warranties I did on them in their first year, I was not impressed.

Are you talking about the gap between the nose/tail piece and edge piece on the sidewall? On my NS SL-R I have about a 3mm space on one side while the other side is perfect. It's filled in so doesn't seem like a big deal. :dunno: Should I be concerned?

i got 'space' on all 4 places on my evo-r

It's a normal part of the construction process. They aren't one piece inserts.

Same with the metal edge gap - It's much more economical for the board maker to order a spool of milled square steel and warp it around than for them to order individually forged rings.

Quit worrying. You've got the NS warranty behind you.

Yep, that's what I figured. Wasnt worried till I read what BA said.
