Default Buying really old Burton Custom... Good idea?

I have a chance to pick up a 96 Burton custom 59 and bindings for $150. Currently I ride a gnu 153 that was a hand me down. I am an intermediate rider and was wondering if you thought buying a board that old was a good idea. I am sure technology wise a lot has changed, but is it still worth it? Also, I have burton freestyle bindings will they work on this board?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to posting here a bunch.

Absolutely NO

Maybe 20 dollars.

For 150 dollars you can get a much newer bindings/board setup...even shitty Morrow or LTD type boards will probably be more advanced than that thing.

That setup is worth $50 at max.

That is pretty much along the lines of what I was thinking. Thanks for your feedback!

unless this set-up is new, in the wrapper, never mounted, and you need this specific year for your collection of customs in your museum collection, sounds like someone's on crack.
