the nitrane contrabands have the webbing in between the contraband... better graphics... as far as stiffness, not too sure i heard they are more oriented for park so i would guess they would have more flex in the highback but nothing super crazy... not like compared to my 390s

i dunno i thought the nitranes were stiffer more all mountain binding and the regular contrabands were the more park oriented ones.. i could very well be wrong though

Nitetranes are a beefed up Contraband. Stiffer highback and heel strap, and a tweaked chasis if I remember correctly. Basically contraband is for the jib kid or guy that likes a softer flexing binding, nitetrane is for the all mountain guy.

So 390s are super soft? Cuz people love those so if the 390s are softer than im good with even regular contrabands?

Have you ridden the nitranes and contrabands or is that what you heard? Because on Rides website they are both mvmnt bindings and marketed as freestyle

Will regular contrabands be good for jumps? I did some research and supposedly the nitranes have a higher high back. Which makes them more all mountain. I just want something fun and soft but not like useless for anything but rails+good for jumps. Are contrabands ok ?

A lot of it is personal preference. But I've ridden both. Personally I found the contrabands too soft for my taste so I'm more of a nitetrane fan. I have a friend that's throwing 1080 doubles on big line at Keystone and he loved them till he got a pair of nitetranes now he's even happier.

Also just cause a companies website rates something as freestyle doesn't mean it's always the case.

That's pretty cool. 1080s on contraband haha. Thanks.

Have you ridden Rome 390s or union forces? Are those softer or stiffer than contraband? Regular contraband

1080 double corks actually.

I've ridden them all. The new 390's are comparable to the regular contraband, forces slightly stiffer . Bit difference is in the toe strap the V thong feels so different compared to a traditional toe strap.
