i would like to hit booters up to 45 feet, but i also want a flexy board that is easily pressed and have narrowed my choices down to... 10 ride kink...09 burton domination....also i dont think it will happen but what about a parkstar. the board has to be wide
sorry for the same post in two section accidentally posted it to the wrong section |

I think the Ride kink kicks the shit out of a Dom. I've had a Kink for four years and ride street with it all the time. The Burton Dom's base is cheap as hell (might be different now, but three years ago it was terrible) and will look like swiss cheese if I did what I do to my kink. But in my experience Kink has more pop and is generally made better than a Dom. A bit cheaper too. I don't stand by Burton's low end boards, they are bad and over priced. I ride Triads and Burton Grails but generally stay away from their boards. The Fix looks kinda nice. But I won't be buying a Burton again anytime soon.
I say Kink, but that's just from my experience. If you wanna hit 45 foot jumps I'd go for something more like a NS Evo or SL, Signal OG.. something more versatile. If you are more than 140lbs the Kink and Dom are a bit soft to be hucking that far. Oh and for hitting big stuff stay away from anything greater than 4mm rocker. They are good for pipe, but not stable landing hard pack flats. They are a bit flaky at high speeds too if you have too much rocker. IMO, never go beyond 4mm rocker unless you're only hitting park or powder. Last edited by Anor; 11-05-2009 at 06:17 PM. |
