Default burton therm-ic heatpacks

does anyone have any experience with these? Burton Basix Therm-ic Heatpacks at REI.com
i bought a pair of these bootwarmers for my wife to use on her burton sapphire boots(last years model)and they aren't compatible although the description says they are supposed to be. Am i missing something here? is there supposed to be a cable to connect heatpack to boot?

If I remember correctly you do need a specific cable. It's a h shaped plug if memory serves me right, but it should have been included in the battery pack for the burtons.
