Alright so last weekend I busted out the Sub Pop I picked up off Brociety in the off season. While mounting up my binders it just wasn't measuring out right. So I measure it and measure it and the inserts are def not centered. It's supposed to be true twin, centered stance with no set back. I made it work and have rode it 2 days now. It's pretty fun, especially for the $!
Anyone else's like this? I wonder if mine is bunk or if they were all like that. TIA! |

I believe we had one last year that had the same problem, it's supposed to be centered.

Interesting. Mine is really wack. Based on the graphics direction etc if I mounted center on the inserts where the 23.6 arrows are it has a longer tail then nose. I flipped it around then centered it with the binding plates. I just don't think it's cool though. I am going to call Nitro tomorrow (my first Nitro board BTW) and see what they have to say. All else fails I will just deal with it or send it back to BC! Thanks guys!

Same thing with mine, and two of the guys I worked with last season. It seems like its all the LE SubPops. I just set my bindings "forward" making them centered. I emailed Nitro and they said its supposed to be like that, but the way the guy answered me seemed like he just ignored the issue and gave me an answer, just to give me answer. I hope they're more helpful over the phone, I would love an update.
Glad you like the board, it is super fun. Especially for early season where all you have is early season park and groomers. Butterific it is.

Fluid, you did measure it somehow from the tips of the nose/tail to the inserts right?
I have this year's Sub Zero (same thing with just a different graphic) and I started to freak out after reading this as centered boards always LOOK a bit off to me, but when I measured it, it measures 41.2cm from the outer inserts to the tail and 41.5cm from the other outer inserts to the nose, so it seems centered like it's supposed to be taking into consideration the small margin of man/machine error. |

Mine is further off. I don't remember exactly what it was because it was on Milo's tailgate at ABasin, but it was over an inch off.
I liked the way it rode etc. Missed the sidecut on the Evo-R early this AM at Keystone on the ice crud though! I will call Nitro tomorrow and give them a chance. If they don't want to be nice I will return it to them or BC and never buy another Nitro. |
