So im in the market for a new board, I need a one hit wonder so to speak since money is relatively tight. Im really liking this board:
Rossignol One Mag im 6'2" 190lbs with a size 12 boot. I dont really do any park, ill cruise through once in a while but that's about it. I just moved out west last month and I would really like to work my way into more pow/back country.. I was thinking of going with either the 163cm or the 161cm mid wide. Do you think ill need the mid wide? Anyone else ride a rossignol? Other suggestions? Thanks. |

Bkeller,
I'd love to hear if you bought this board and have any impressions of it. Rossi seems to have a bit of an image problem with their snowboards, not being taken seriously I guess. The One Mag 156 seems on paper to be the board for me: 5'8" 140 pounds, all mountain. I can't seem to find any reviews of this board except magazine ones and one or two on backcountry.com |

While I have never owned a rossignol, I have ridden a few (including the one mag) and I have a few friends that own them. From my experience they ride amazing. And seeing the abuse that my friends put them through, they hold up pretty well. If you got a size 12 boot, I'd say go for the wide for sure.

Ah, thanks for the follow up Bkeller and SB101.
I'm also researching Nidecker boards, specifically the Megalight. I've heard that the big mountain Jeremy Jones has left Rossi and is employing Nidecker to make his brand of freeride boards. I'll try to post another thread if I find anything out and/or if anyone is interested. |
