Hi all,
A question: I was reading about detuning snowboards got itchy and decided to do it on my board and my sons I completly shaved and dulled about 2 inches below the widest curve into the tip and did the same on the tail then I seen another site that says do not dull below the wides part of the tip....opps too late, now can't get the sharpness did I make a big mistake? or will the boards will still be ridable in all mountaine ride scanerio I appriciate your advice |

I've never detuned the middle of the board. If you're a rail rat I can see wanting to detune that part of the edge. A pipe, or freerider I would say ooops! You can get an edge sharpener and sharpen it up in that section. If you get a good edge sharpener, don't grind your edge off. Otherwise you're going to need a base grind.
The other solution is just ride powder all the time. You don't need edges for that... |
