Whats up guys? Im pretty new to snowboarding, I went up a few times last season and love it. When I went up last year I rented the equipment, but now Im looking to buy. Im thinking I should buy some used equipment at first since Im a beginner. I found someone with a Ride DH, but I can tell its one of the older models. I just dont know what year it is. Does anyone have the graphics of the older DH so I can see what year it is? Or could I post a picture of it here, and can you all tell me?
Thanks |

Ok cool thanks. I just have one more question. Today I stopped into a pretty big shop in my area who have a pretty big selection. I was looking around and ran into some boards they have marked down because they are older models. They had a bunch of Forum Joni Malmi boards, pretty much any size I want, they had it for only $99. Since Im a beginner and I dont really know what size I want Im sure they can guide me in the right direction of what size to get.
My question is do you all think I should get the used 157 05/06 Ride DH for $80, or should I go with the Forum Joni Malmi for $99(Im pretty sure none of them have been used at all)? Im not sure what year the Forum is but this is what it looks like. ![]() Oh and one more thing. It seems like awhile ago, but the last couple times I rented a board it seemed prett stiff, not really flexable at all. It might just be me, and having to get used to the board. But do these boards have good flex? Last edited by hops523; 11-08-2009 at 03:53 PM. |

I would get the Ride DH. Even though its used board, still a good one. And then next year you can have a early/late season board and buy another good board. Those rides have the "Slimewalls" which is the same stuff skateboard wheels are made out of. And they are all around good mountain/park boards.
