Hi,
I 2006 ion boots and I was wondering if the none est boots can be used with est bindings without problems... it seems like the est boots have thinner soles for est bindings. thanks in advance.

there's no such thing as EST-specific boots

(you can use any boot in an EST binding as long as it fits)

lol ya theres no such thing as est boots as far as i know, the only thing you need for est bindings is a burton board with the channel (ICS)

You'll be fine dude. Burton is pushing this "feel the board thing". On one hand it makes sense ith their EST bindings bolting right to the board outside of your foot bed, but as for the boots you'll be fine. They'll still fit into the bindings and you'll still feel your board flex. It's all good

The est boots probably set you a lil closer to the board for increased response. Like you said - thinner sole

If your ...[comment on burton here]... buying est stuff already, you might as well go all out and buy the boots as well (if they fit) imo
