ICS Board with non EST Burton Bindings

I was just wondering if anyone has a burton ICS board with non EST bindings and how the retro plate that Burton gives you with the new ICS boards holds up. I'm looking at getting a Burton custom v rocker and have the burton p1.1 bindings which are NOT EST.
