UA Hood: Help Make It Better!

Hey All:

I need your help in petitioning Under Armour to make their cold gear hood even better. Many, many, many people on this web site have all stated that the UA hood is the best balaclava on the market. However, many people have also stated the one problem with the UA hood is that the neckline is too short, and can leave part of the neck exposed. Hence, if they just made it a few inches longer things would be super-dreamy. So, here is where we all email UA and tell them to make it longer. Here is what you do:

(1) Go to the UA customer service web site, which is located here.

(2) Click on the "Contact UA member" link.

(3) Send them an email. Below is the text of what I wrote them. Either cut and paste it, or write your own.

(4) Hit send, and pass this email on to anyone else who may be interested in helping out.

Dear Sir/Madam:

The UA cold gear hood is an amazing product for winter sports. However, if you look all over the web, people often complain that the neckline is too short and leaves portions of the neck exposed. If the hood was made longer, it would eliminate this problem all together. That said, do you know if there is any plan to extend the neckline of the hood? If not, please suggest the idea to product design team.

Thanks for your time and consideration,

I agree it could use a longer neck, but with used in combination with their UA Coldgear Mock turtleneck thermal shirt it can cover my entire neck..

You tried one of those shirts out? They work so damn well...but at 50 bucks for the shirt and 50 for the pants it can get spendy...but as with their hood its awesome.

Just ordered mine today, kinda excited. Hopefully it will cover my small-ish neck.
However, I'm going to do this regardless as it seems like many people (which could be me) are experiencing this problem.

You are so freaking Vancouver it's not even funny.

And not the 5 minutes from downtown part either.

yeah, it works fine with their cold gear shirts. and the stuff can get pricey but luckily i have a UA outlet near my house so i buy everything around 50% off. i got my full gold gear set for $50 and hoodies and fleeces for $20-25.

UA has great products and I own a bunch. Sadly, it costs an arm and leg around my neck of the woods (Toronto). UA cold gear starts at $80 and there's no freakin' outlet nearby!!

I rather they invest in making it more waterproof than longer for the neck. The hood IMO is the only UA gear that I'm disappointed in. Just breathing through it overtime gets it damp and wet all around the mouth area and spreads not to mention doesn't keep my face that warm contrast to how well the sweater and leggings work. Just my take on it.

Government - If you think the problems they created are bad, just wait until you see their solutions.
