So I was looking at the new boards on dogfunk and saw that some some of the new Burton boards are over $1k.... Have they made some great breakthrough that is driving their price up that much or is it just them being the big B.....
I just can't see spending $1500 on a burton method when I can get a great lib tech for half the price.... |

Yeah, with Burton you just have to ignore the extreme high end models. Those are there for folks where price is not an issue and they just want the latest Burton technology.
The good thing for the rest of us, is just like luxury cars, Burton tests out the potential of new technology on the high end models and if they are successful, they make there way to the normal boards in a year or two. |

I can't say I hate on Burton. I have a Custom X and a T6. The X has been a great board and I hope to get the T6 out this year. Maybe this is the first time I saw a board for over $1500 but that just seems very extreem for a snowboard.
