Decided on a board, stuck between bindings.. - Snowboarding Forum

So, this is technically going to be my third season. I say technically because I started late in my 1st and only got 3 days in. Anyways, being on the East Coast i decided I need a nice board to handle the conditions and I want something a little shorter than my 168Flag so I can start playing around in the pipe and whatnot. I decided to go with the 2010 Lib Tech t.Rice 161.5cm board. Looks like it will be a good balance that I can use for all mountain riding with a little park on the side.
Now comes the tricky part. I love my Rome 390's BUT the straps are almost too short for me. Given the big profile of the Cirros I just got this makes the situation worse. Like, I can strap in, but its somewhat "hard" given the length of the Rome straps. Yet, thats still not enough to pull me away from Rome.

I weigh 215lbs and am 6'5" so I need a sturdy binding, which Rome has proven to be. I just cant decide between the 390's and the Targas now. I know 390's are more for park (which I didnt know when I bought them for my all mountain stiff as hell Rome Flag) and Targas are more for freeride, but can the Targas actually handle some pipe work as well?

Now if only the Targas came in the yellow/blue that 390's have this year...it would be a done deal, lol.

The Targa's aren't Rome's freeride binding, that would be the Arsenal. The Targa fits inbetween the two and works well as an all mountain binding with lots of adjustability so it should handle some park/pipe just fine

Just noticed I cant go with the Billy Goat given I have size 13 boots :/

I rode 390's heavily last year, and have 2 days on my targas this year. I must say, I'm pleasantly surprised by how much I like them. They're def stiffer and more responsive, but not at all uncomfortably. I have a feeling I'll be riding them more often than the 390's this season.

Would you say they're still useable for the park? Also, did you ever have problems with strap length or noticed differences between the targas and the 390s?

Triple8sol, how do the Targas compare to the 390s in terms of weight? I've heard 390s are pretty heavy, are Targas even heavier?
