This past weekend i demoed a 2016 Attack Banana in a 156, and loved it and am thinking about buying the 2015 model in a 159 as i want it a little bigger. I don't get the chance to demo very many boards, and i want to be sure to get the right one. I ride mostly trees and want a board that can handle drops offs, and i do hit park occasionally. Does anyone have any other suggestions for different boards? Thanks in advance! Also i only weigh 140 pounds and wear a size 9 boot.

Well to be honest the reason I was thinking 159 was because the 156 isn't available from the site I'm looking at (Evo). Also the most park ill be doing is 180s off small jumps and maybe a box or two, and I still have my 152 ramp gravy train (flat profile) if I ever want to do only park. Also I'll be going to school in Montana next year and most likely won't have the funds for a powder specific board so I was thinking the bigger size would help for that. Anyone know how the attack banana is in powder?

159 is a lot of board for 140lbs, evo won't be the only site with discounted boards you just have to look better. Also the attack banana hasn't changed it's shape since its first model four years ago so consider a used one too. Craigslist can be useful.

Don't listen to people who say you weigh too little for a 159. If you prefer extra length, you prefer extra length. Ex: the user above says the 162 FA sometimes feels like too much board for him at 215lbs...while I ride the 162 at 180lbs with ease.

HOWEVER, 159 Attack Banana has a 255 waist width and if you're mostly into tree riding with size 9 boots, the 156 would most likely be a better fit. At your weight you should have decent float as there is some rocker in there...just keep up your speed.

You've taken my quote completely out of context. It has nothing to do with me being able to not ride it "with ease".

I would never put my wife at 145lbs on a 159 it's just not necessary. There's no sense in sizing up for an all mountain twin board.

I have the Attack Banana 2014, size 159 (i am 6'0 and around 195lbs), i love this board, it is amazing at high speeds and control.
But, it is not the greatest in the deep snow, so i am not sure it is the best board if you mostly ride trees.
Also it is not the best board for park, but not bad, i think 159 will be too big for you for park.

I demoed it at a resort without very good tree runs, so I couldn't tell how it was for that, but it was quick edge to edge so I figured it would be good. Thanks for all the advice guys, I'm definitely gonna hold out for a smaller board.
