ok well I got the k2 jibpan and it's sicker than I thouhgt. But now i'm tourn between the K2 auto and the ride alpha MVMNT. WHICH ONE!!!

Hm...that's a tough decision. I think they are prolly pretty close quality wise...the price though would push me towards the autos. I also have had great experiences with the lower side of the latest line of K2 bindings in the form of the Sonics. Hope this helps!

well the thing that I was thinking about the autos was the cable pulling the toe strap. it seems that would brake. I'm prob going to go with the ride alpha's becuse there so light.

just as an FYI, K2 now owns Ride. I looked at the auto's this weekend and they look pretty good and feel nice. Definitely heavier than the Alpha's without question. The other thing I noticed was that the Alpha's high back was much stiffer than the K2's so it's obviously a bit more flexible for freestyle work but I'm not sure about the responsiveness factor though not having ridden them. Also in terms of the auto function it's cool, but like you said I tend to wait till tech is out for a couple of years before I buy it because the first years almost always have problems...

yeah I went with the ride alpha since they seemed better and were a lot lighter. I also wanted the traditional 2 strap design. The auto has too many things to go wrong.
