Dinosaurs Will Die Genovese 157
Went up to Killington yesterday to get my pass and check out the board. There's not much info on this board that I can find out there so I figured I'd throw out my 2 cents on it. Killington, or the "The Beast", as some retarded fuck in management decided to dub it had 17 of 150+ trails open covered in mostly man-made cheese and several inches of natural. There was some underlying ice but mostly groomed hard pack and some crusty chop.
Thoughts: pressy and with smooth even flex. it's a fun-board with a fast base and aggressive side cut making turning a bit weird for me at first coming off of riding a fat rocker board all last year. After I got back in camber mode I started jumping on small side hits and tree bonks. Very very fun. It's a real lite with medium pop that's easy to load and releases predictably. The park had a few boxes and rails but no jumps yet. The board posts up and locks on to rails great- just like you would expect from a good park board. It felt lite and buttery coming out.
On the steeper runs the board held together great even through the chop. Launching off rollers was a blast- the board feels really balanced and lite in the air. Edge-wise these rails are razor sharp. I detuned it really good but it still got a little hooky on me when I layed it up. I think my head is probably still in rocker world. I'm sure a good shredder could work this board a lot better than me.
Overall impression: I'll never to be able do everything this board is made to do but it makes me want to try. It's super fun even flex and aggressive side cut is definitely made for bangers and the dudes that rage around all day in the park, jibbing off of everything, spinning out of side hits, bonking trees, blasting off of shit. It's a keeper. I had my Forces on it and they matched up perfectly with this board. Forces literally make you forget you have bindings on.
Try this trick and spin it, yeah
