If you're primarily freeriding, go for the longer of the two boards.

I bought my Girlfriend a Nitro Fate and she loves it. I can also recommend the KS Skyla since my buddies GF rides that. The ride Solace/Rapture aren't too bad and then there is the Neversummer infinty but thats probably past your current budget.

Well honestly as a beginner you aren't gonna be really freeriding for a while, and until then you'll prolly want something that's a little longer and controls better when you first learn to carve and go faster down the hill...although to be quite honest, you won't feel MUCH of a difference b/w the 149 and 152, but I would stick with the 152 especially if you are planning on gaining a little weight...
