Burton Vapor - Snowboarding Forum

hey i just got a Burton vapor a few days ago signed by Kevin Peirce so i don't want to return it, i have Burton bindings but when i try to line them up with the screw holes on the board only 3 holes line up, there only 4 screw holes on the board and they are positioned like a diamond. Is it ok to only have 3 screws screwed into the board, is there some kind of special binding im supposed to use?

If you need to ask, you probably shouldn't be riding a Vapor, it'll kill you man.

Ummm Burton board with Burton bindings? I don't see what the problem is here. The old Burton design is a 3 hole pattern. Their base plates should only take three screws. Unless you are using the 4x4 disc meant for boards with that pattern.

it's not only ok, that's the way burton designed it. there are 4-holes to give some stance flexibility but the bindings should be attached with 3 screws only.

$500 is wholesale price price for the 2010 Vapor and I still didn't get it

But yea, three screws is the norm for Burton. 2009 - present is the ICS system for most of their high ends which doesn't have any holes. Enjoy the ride. I hear the Vapor is one sick stick. Just out of my wallet's reach
