Buying a used board... - Snowboarding Forum

I'm looking at a 2001 Ride Timeless, a great board, with Flow F5 bindings. The guy wants $250 for both, but the gear is almost 10 years old. Does this sound like a fair price? The board is apparently in good condition...

I would suggest looking around for a better deal if time allows you. Last year/season, I bought a 2008 Ride Decade from evogear for $120 shipped and Burton Cartel 2008(winterfresh) for $130. All these are brand new. With the money I saved, this season I bought a Burton Dominant 2009 model for $137 at the skidazzle show. Just look around and consider past season gear rather then used gear from 10 years ago. I saw a Ride prophet on Brociety for $209, if you are into Ride. Happy boarding.

It's not a good deal...

You can find boards that are brand new from last season for less then that.

Could probably go into your local board shop and find one, or search the internet.

I love my Timeless, but that's a ton of cash for a 2001.

I got an unused previous season model and the current season's new SPI's for under $400.

Ten year old gear shouldn't be in the triple digits. A quick look at some online retailers shows that you can get unused 2008 Ride bindings and boards for about $250.

yeah 250 alot i got an 06 burton retro twin with burton freestyles for 100. then some used sims boots at a local ski swap for 40...keep searching you'll find one

Just check buysnow.com and you can get a 2009 Fleetwood for $210 and some 2009 LX bindings for $75. That's only $35 more for 8 year younger and unused Ride gear

Not to good of a deal for such an old board. I got a 2008 Forum youngblood W/ Burton P1 wingtip bindings for $200.00 and everything was brand new, guy never rode the thing.

People are being too kind on this thread. That "deal" is a ripoff, plain and simple.

That is WAY overpriced. Should be less than $150 for that combo. $100-120 seems more realistic.
